   10 Years of Crafting Fine Cider   

Our Story       

Apples were the last things on our minds...

 

That is, until we found ourselves nurturing an abandoned apple orchard back to health on our new family farm, nestled just three miles from Avila bay.  Our relationship blossomed and so did the trees.  One taste of the fruit set us in a new direction - California Hard Cider.  We hope you enjoy! 

Family owned and operated since 2013 (2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation California natives).  

Our cider-maker Chris Lemieux  previously operated a Vegan/Organic restaurant in San Luis Obsipo (Natural Flavors) in late 90's and worked in the media and entertainment field for 15 years, where he produced the Hesiman Trophy© presentation dinner between 2005-2013 and various Documentaries (see our blog)..

 

Chris started making wine/cider with us in 2010 part time. Highlights include 92pts California State Fair and Silver medals at the San Francisco International wine competition and Los Angels international wine competition (Domaine Le Mieux wines) and his expression on California Hard Cider - Apple forward with a nice complex subtle tart finish - like biting into the perfect apple.  

 

In 2013 See Canyon Hard Cider was founded with our flagship craft cider. Chris is also credited with producing the first Dry Hopped Cider and  Imperial Dry Cider on the Central Coast.

 

Recognized by NPR as one of the cutting edge California Craft Ciders.  Also Featured in 805 living, San Jose Mercury Newsand SLO Tribune.
